A WORD ABOUT US

How we plan for Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania native plant gardens offer year-round beauty while supporting the local ecosystem with plants naturally adapted to the region’s soils and climate. Features often include vibrant seasonal blooms such as coneflowers, black-eyed Susans, asters, mountain mint, and milkweed, along with native grasses, shrubs, and small trees that provide texture, movement, and habitat throughout the seasons. These plants attract pollinators like bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial insects while requiring less water, fertilizer, and maintenance once established.

By layering early spring blooms with summer color and late-season flowers, native landscapes create continuous interest for your home and an essential food source for Pennsylvania wildlife.

Frequently asked questions about Native Gardens

Are native gardens easy to maintain?

Yes — once established, native gardens are typically much easier to maintain than traditional landscapes. Because the plants are naturally suited to the region, they generally require less watering, fertilizer, and upkeep. With thoughtful design, mulching, and seasonal stewardship, they become more resilient and easier to care for over time.

Can a native garden include fruits, vegetables, and herbs?

Absolutely. Many homeowners choose to combine native landscaping with edible garden design to create a space that is both beautiful and productive. We can incorporate raised beds, herbs, seasonal vegetables, berry bushes, fruit trees, and pollinator-friendly companion plants to create a sustainable garden that provides fresh produce throughout the growing season.

What areas do you serve?

We provide native landscaping, edible garden design, and ecological garden care for homeowners throughout Bucks and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, including Abington, Chestnut Hill, Elkins Park, and surrounding communities.
