Ecological Landscape Maintenance for Native Plant and Permaculture Gardens
Ecological Garden Care for Landscapes That Deserve Thoughtful Attention
Keystone Permaculture provides ecological garden care and landscape maintenance in Abington, Chestnut Hill, Elkins Park, and surrounding Montgomery County communities. We specialize in caring for native plant landscapes, edible gardens, and permaculture-inspired outdoor spaces.
Unlike conventional landscaping companies that focus primarily on mowing and leaf removal, our approach is centered around garden stewardship — the long-term care of living landscapes.
Through thoughtful seasonal maintenance, plant health monitoring, soil building, and ecological management, we help gardens mature into thriving, resilient ecosystems that become more beautiful and easier to maintain over time.

How Our Garden Stewardship Program Works
1. Garden Consultation
We begin with a walk-through consultation at your property to evaluate the existing landscape and understand your goals for the space.
2. Stewardship Plan
Based on the needs of your garden, we recommend a seasonal care schedule. Some landscapes benefit from monthly visits, while others require fewer visits throughout the year.
3. Ongoing Garden Care
Our team returns throughout the growing season to maintain plant health, manage weeds, prune appropriately, and support the natural development of the landscape.
Over time, this consistent stewardship allows your garden to become healthier, more resilient, and easier to maintain.
Garden Stewardship Plans
Every landscape is different, so stewardship services are tailored to the needs of each property. Many clients choose one of our seasonal care plans to ensure their garden receives consistent attention throughout the year. These plans provide ongoing ecological garden care while allowing the landscape to mature naturally over time.
Stewardship visits are typically scheduled monthly or seasonally depending on the size and complexity of the landscape. Most clients schedule stewardship visits between April and October, when ecological gardens benefit most from attentive care.
